    Description

    This is a scarce early 1780s Colonial Era pontiled "Half Post" blown cologne or utility bottle with Stiegel type wheel etched flowers & decoration around all 4 panels of bottle!...cut notches & drapes around shoulder.........Free blown with crude hand formed flat sides with a 2nd layer of glass (referred to by collectors as German Half Post).....there is a crude ring around shoulder where 2nd layer of glass ends.........sharp open pontil scar on bottom....clear....crude applied ring lip.....rect....5 3/8"tall....Excellent shiny nice condition with no chips or damage.. This was a cologne or utility bottle blown in the late 1700s. Guaranteed authentic....it came from an old New England estate
