1820s EARLY PONTILED 3 MOLD BLOWN GLASS NAPPIE BOWL BOSTON & SANDWICH GLASS CO

Description

This is an early pontiled flint glass nappie bowl hand blown in a 3 pc mold at the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co in the 1820s.......Diamond quilted band with ribbed sunburst bottom....folded over rolled rim...clear flint glass rings nicely when tapped....5 7/8"round x 1 1/8"deep.....rough pontil scar on bottom.....Sparkling near mint condition with only one tiny nick on underside edge of rolled over rim; no other damage.  A nice clean nappie with no stain. This is a scarce early blown nappie bowl
..We just cant keep everything, so after 50 years of digging and collecting we have decided to part with many of our bottles (to make room for more..haha)...so keep watching our listings as many rare treasures are being found!
