    Description

    Here's a rare antique original hand blown milkglass Black Americana bottle over 120 years old shaped like an egg with a black boy breaking out of the egg (it had some of the original black paint on the boy's head, but it came off when I was cleaning it).....the bottle is hand blown in mold.....ground sheared opening....rounded bottom so wont stand upright on its own....opaque white milkglass....2 1/2"long...Excellent shiny nice condition with only one small chip on the edge of ground opening. It has an old cork stopper. I've dug similar looking milkglass eggs before, but this is the first egg shaped bottle I've seen with an opening! It was probably an 1890s pocket whiskey nipper given away in saloons as a gag novelty to favorite customers.....
