19TH C ANTIQUE SILK CHINESE ROBE W HAND EMBROIDERY FLORALS + PHOENIX BIRDS
DATING TO THE 19TH CENTURY
FASHIONED OF A PINSTRIPED SILK DAMASK WITH FLORAL PATTERN RUNNING THROUGHOUT THE GROUND.
RONDELLE EMBROIDERY OF FLORALS RUNS THROUGHOUT WITH CROSSING PHOENIX BIRDS IN THE CENTER FRONT AND CENTER REAR WITH CRANE ON THE REAR RIGHT SIDE, BUTTERFLY IN THE REAR CENTER WITH BUTTERFLY ON THE LEFT SIDE FRONT.
FULLY FRAMED IN BLACK SILK WITH SIDE CLOSURE HAVING ROUND ORNATE GOLD TONE METAL BUTTONS.  EACH SIDE IS VENTED FIVE INCHES.
INTERIOR IS LINED IN SILK WITH A GOLDEN SILK THROUGH THE CUFFS AND INNER CUFF EDGE TRIMMED IN BRAID.
CONDITION:
YELLOW DISCOLORATION SEEN, NOTE THE IMAGES.  STAINING IS SEEN TO THE SLEEVES AND FRONT WITH LESSER STAINING TO THE REAR.  THE LOOPS FOR THE BUTTONS AT THE TOP HAVE SOME VERY SLIGHT EDGE FRAY FROM USE.
