Fresh from a local estate.
Absolutely stunning!! Sleeveless, with high Mandarin collar, and four knotted fabric frog closures. Exceptional embroidery work, with an abundance of metallic threads.
I believe this piece dates to the 19th Century, but is possibly earlier. I am not a collector or expert on antique Asian textiles, so please see the large photos for exact condition and description.
Measurements when laid flat: 28" wide at bottom hem, and 36" tall from top of collar to bottom of garment.
Displays beautifully, and shows virtually no wear. Material is structurally sound, with absolutely no rips, tears, holes, hidden damage, or repairs. From a smoke-free home, with no odors.
Guaranteed to be antique, and not a modern reproduction.
