    Description

    Carnelian necklace
    Date: 1 century
    Roman or Parthian
    Composed of globular carnelian beads ranging from dark brown to dark orange in color. Conical opening, some beads are drilled from both ends. Some beads have shallow slit across the opening at one or both ends to prevent drilling device from slipping.
    L. 16.5" (42 cm).
