    Description

    This is a nicely detailed Antique Chinese Bed Hanging Embroidery Fragment from Penang, Malaysia.  This embroidery was purchased by my father in the early 1970's in Penang, Malaysia during the period he owned an Antique Shop in Batu Ferringhi.  As a lifelong collector of Chinese textiles he purchased a number of embroideries from local Antique Shops that primarily specialized in Peranakan and / or local Chinese items.  The embroidery is meant to be hung and the threaded loop could be extended or replaced to meet your requirements.  I would conservatively estimate this embroidery dates to the turn of the Century. Please review all pictures thoroughly prior to purchase.
    Embroidery Dimensions: 3 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches in length.  Length with Tassles extended: 9 1/4 inches . There is also a red thread loop at the top that is 3 1/4 inches in length.  Weight: 1.1 ounces
