    Description

This is a young child’s festival hat elaborately made out of silk and fabric to represent a beast such as a dragon or tiger. It is fabulous with big eyeballs and other embellishments embroidered on the face of the hat. He has an exaggerated big nose and bushy whiskers. His mouth is open to reveal a large pink tongue and big teeth. On top of his head there are springy antennas with Pom Pom ball ends. The hat is a hood form which ties around the neck to keep the face of the beast in place. All the features of this wonderful antique festival hat are hand made. It is rare to find such an old festival hat in good condition. One of the ties is partially gone and there is some wear to the eyeballs.
Condition: excellent for age and normal wear.
