Offered is this fine and rare antique Chinese silk embroidered military rank badge with lion or panther in gold thread with forbidden Peking knot. Qing Dynasty probably from the mid 19th century or possibly earlier. In very good condition with light staining, some loose threads near the bottom. Has not been examined outside of it's frame. Looks like it was mounted several decades ago. Image size 11" square. Frame show signs of wear from age and handling. Some holes in the wood on the sides.  Sold as found and offered at no reserve.
