What is Sienna? Sienna (from Italian: terra di Siena, "Siena earth") is an earth pigment containing iron oxide and manganese oxide. In its natural state, it is yellow-brown and is called raw sienna. When heated, it becomes a reddish brown and is called burnt sienna. It takes its name from the city-state of Siena, where it was produced during the Renaissance.  Along with ochre and umber, it was one of the first pigments to be used by humans, and is found in many cave paintings. Since the Renaissance, it has been one of the brown pigments most widely used by artists.  The first recorded use of sienna as a colour name in English was in 1760.
The Cross 14k Solid Gold Nib is adorned by the Cross symbol as well as 14k, the letter M (Medium tip Nib), and the numbers 585 which means it is 58.5% gold content which equates to 14 carat Gold.
Many people choose 14k over 18k because of the flex.  Most people including Richard Binder & John Mottishaw both used 14k Nibs ONLY on their Pelikan Flex.  I agree Flex is determined by more than just gold content.  It is also determined by the Nib design, the thickness of the Nib and a host of other factors.  These 14k Solid Gold Nibs are getting harder and harder to find, because many people have gone to 18k gold plated.  Many still swear by 14k Gold Nibs though.  This pen is one of them.
The pen has been repackaged in a new Cross Gift box.
We will also include a nice pen holder/pouch & an extra set of 3 blue cartridges and 3 black cartridges!
I also have more of these for sale, check my Townsend area for Rollerballs, Rolling Balls, Selectip and Pencils, as well as combinations.  These are the hottest looking and selling Townsends right now.

*Items like Acrylic stands are just for display, and not part of the auction!
*Anything listed as new has never been used, if you see something in the picture that looks like a scratch, it's NOT!  Sometimes the camera picks up reflections.  We use white gloves in handling these, so as not to get fingerprints on them.
*If it doesn't say NIB=New In Box, or comes with a box, or doesn't show your item in a box, you can assume it doesn't come with one.  If you don't see a box listed, and you would like one, just leave us a message.
*All Cross writing instruments and desk set pen holder mechanisms are unquestionably guaranteed against mechanical failure, regardless of age from the Cross Warranty Service Center.  Any Cross product or part requiring service under this warranty will be repaired or replaced when received at our factory from the consumer (postage and insurance are the responsibility of the consumer, and processing fees may apply). Any such product that is no longer in production and cannot be repaired will be replaced by a comparable Cross product. Lead, erasers and ink refills exhausted in the course of normal use, and emblems and other customized decorations, are excluded from this warranty; also excluded are fountain pen nibs and other parts damaged from impact, unreasonable use or obvious abuse. The Cross guarantee extends our assurance of a lifetime of writing pleasure to every owner of a Cross writing instrument. Questions about Warranty Services, go to cross.com
*Please be aware if you return "New Items" for any reason other than a defect, and
they now have a scratch on them, or anything different than when we sent them to you; there will be a fee charged, and you will not get the full price back, because we will have to devalue them, and they can't be resold as "NEW"!  The same goes for “Used Items”, they must be returned just as they were when sent out!  If you are returning for what is deemed to be "NOT a good reason" IE.. buyers remorse, you found them cheaper elsewhere, you decided you didn't want them, you didn't know how to operate your item correctly, etc... there will be a 30% restocking fee charged.  We will replace any defective item rather than giving a refund, if we have a replacement. If we don't have a replacement, We will issue credit for JerrysPens merchandise.  We do want you to be happy with your purchase; unfortunately there are a few people abusing eBay's rules and policies, so we had to put a stop to that.
