Bram Stoker’s famous tale of Dracula the vampire was inspired by the life of Vlad the Impaler, Vlad III, the Prince of Wallachia. "Dracula" means "Son of the dragon" and he and his father, Vlad Dracul, were both members of the chivalric Order of the Dragon, and renamed themselves accordingly. This fictionalized 3-Ducat coin is from his short-lived triumph over the ~ 80,00 Ottoman Turks. The obverse, measures ~23mm in diameter, and weighs about 3.1 grams, or 1/10 of a troy ounce. Coin artwork by Joe Paonessa. Note: There were no coins struck in Wallachia during Vlad III’s reign with his name or likeness. This is a Fantasy coin only and has no monetary value.
    - The product is treated to look antiqued and artificially circulated. No two coins are exactly the same! Coins are struck one at a time in the USA using antique machinery and traditional coining techniques - a family owned and operated mint.
    - A colorful description is included with history and facts about Vlad and the coin.
