    Description

    GIANT CLAM SHELLS AND CORAL WITH DETAILED OCEAN PAINTING DATED 09/26/1964. We found these extremely authentic, rare treasures in an old barn located in the Midwest!  They were wrapped extremely well in old newspaper and stored for many years.  When we unwrapped them, imagine our joy and surprise!  They are a married set with a very detailed painting on the inside of each of the shells with the artist signature R.J. Bork and a date of 1964.  One of the shells also had a large piece of coral that had grown off of it while it was in its natural environment.  Not sure how much older the shells are than the 1964 picture drawn on it.  We have never seen anything like these before.  They weigh approximately 20 lbs a piece and the shell with coral has dimension of 20 1/2 in. x 24 in.
