    Description

Fair to good antiquarian condition. Staple bound booklets with rusted staples, toned paper, creased wraps. All booklets are complete, dated 1894-1897.
Small farms were pretty much all that existed in America prior to The Great Depression, which allowed big Agriculture to leverage connections and cash to depopulate the bread basket of the country. These pamphlets were published as part of the ongoing education program started by the Founding Fathers when they first opened the Frontier (then Ohio and Indiana) to European Settlement.
Those interested in organic farming will be interested in these. Chemical fertilizers were few and far between in this era, as were pesticides.
    Subjects include
Potatoes and disease (the blight was rampant in Ireland at this time)
    Sugar Beets
Kafir Corn (a drought resistant variety)
    Fowl (chickens, ducks, geese)
    Onions
    Livestock management
    Farm Drainage
