For those of you who don't know, bluing was used for centuries before bleach was invented as a way to bring out the white of an item.  It is still used in many poor regions of countries who don't have access to bleach.  Here is a neat little laundry bottle from the 1890s.  It is an aqua, oval, mold blown bottle standing just over 4 inches tall.  It has more embossing than any other bottle this size that I can think of!!  It is embossed S.S. MYER'S TAKE A PAIR OF SCISSORS AND CUT OFF THE POINTED END WHICH EXTENDS ABOVE THE CORK SHAKE THE BOTTLE SLIGHTLY AND IT WILL DROP OUT DIRECTIONS ALWAYS HAVE YOUR WATER CONSISTENTLY COLORED BEFORE PUTTING YOUR WASH IN TO THE TUB PHILADELPHIA....in the middle it has a circle with the bottle and a pair of scissors around which is embossed MYER'S SPRINKLING WASHING BLUE.  It has some haze and bluing stain but no chips, cracks, or dings.  Buyer to pay FREE SHIPPING, more internationally or elsewhere.
