    Description

    From the estate of Asian arts collectors, a large Chinese silk panel. Very old, but export mark added later so that the collectors could take it out of the country. This textile is simply oustanding. Coral red ground with a fantastical assortment of embroidered figures with coin coming into their hands, a frog, a fish, flowers, waves and clouds. Backing is green silk. Inner ribbon border is frayed and torn. The outside embroidered border is in good condition for its age.
    This piece is of extremely high quality.
    Overall, very good condition with the expected wear, fading, etc on older silk panels.
