Here's a unique bulbous shape 1880s footed bottle possibly named for the first professional women's club founded in 1868 which was called SOROSIS..... This bottle is embossed
SOROSIS
on the bottom. It has a raised circle emb on the shoulder.... Hand blown in mold...hand tooled ring collar.....round with hollow footed base ring....aqua....5 1/8"tall....Excellent condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with some light haze. I have no idea what was in this interesting little SOROSIS bottle...it could have been some kind of patent medicine or sample liquor of some kind or even a food product? Sorosis is a fleshy multiple fruit such as pineapple or mulberry, so this SOROSIS bottle could have been some kind of pineapple drink named after the SOROSIS women's club?
