14 Sunray Venus Clam
10 Calico Clams
6 Painted Egg Cockles
This lot was naturally, sustainably collected along the beach by me.
No ocean creatures were harmed in their gathering.
They are about 3/8 inch to 1 3/4 inches long.
The Sunray Venus clams have brown (with just a hint of purple) narrow rays streaking from the umbo.
There are 4 pairs still connected. Their connection is quite delicate.
You'll notice one did not want to cooperate and smile for the photos.
They can be spread flat, but I did not want to take the chance
that the connection would break.  In my experience you have
a limited number of times to move with the umbo before it disconnects. (I do not guarantee the shipping will not disconnect these.)
The 10 Calico Clams have smooth, creamy shells with blurry brown rectangles and smudges.
And finally, 6 Painted Egg Cockles have a triangular shape and again are creamy with blurry zigzags and spatters of brown or yellow orange.
They would make a nice addition to mini sailors valentines or mixed media art piece.
Or just collect them...
