    Description

Up for bids is a trio of books/booklets on poultry-related topics.  Given the significant information provided, they would be ideal for poultry breeders or others with similar interests.  The lot includes:
    *  One 1975 booklet titled "A Guide to Better Hatching" (100 pages, with illustrations).  It has everything you would ever want to know about eggs and their care.  It covers a number of topics, including structure/formation/fertility of the egg, management of breeder stock, selection of hatching eggs, incubation, natural hatching, sanitation, and artificial insemination, among other topics.
The booklet is in very good, clean condition.  However, its spine has been reinforced with some tape, and someone has blackened the edges of the pages all around with black marker.  Nonetheless, the cover and contents otherwise remain quite clean.
    *  One 1975 booklet titled "Guinea Fowl" (92 pages, with illustrations).  This booklet focuses on one specific type of poultry -- the Guinea fowl.  Guinea hens are served at fine restaurants and boast delicious flavor.  The booklet provides information a variety of topics, including how to raise Guinea fowl, habits, characteristics, mating, housing, and feeding, among many other topics.  The booklet is in very good, clean condition, with just a couple of smudges on the cover at top left (see photo).
    *  One 1975 book titled "Raising Poultry The Modern Way" (224 pages, with illustrations).  It covers many topics, including housing and equipment, starting the laying flock, brooding and rearing, management, production, home processing of eggs and poultry, and flock health
    , among other topics.
The book is in excellent, clean condition, with just a couple of bends to the back cover.
They would make a wonderful addition to any collection of poultry science or antique paper ephemera
    .
