  • Condition: This Is A Stoneware Relatively Small Bottle. This Particular Bottle Bears The Mark For The Denby Pottery Near Derby. The Bottle Is Marked "Vitreous Stone Bottle, J. Bourne & Son; Patentees; Denby Pottery ....; P. &J. Arnold; London" On The Front In Impressed Lettering. The Bottle Has A Round Flat Base With Straight Rising Sides Ending At An Incised Shoulder Which Progresses With A Curved Neck Ending In An Opening Having A Formed Rim. The Bottle Is Brown In Colors And Is Glazed. It Is Thick In Construction And Has A Heavy Body. These Bottles Were Usually Used For Ginger Or Sarsaparilla Beer. However, They Were Also Occasionally Used For Stout.
