Wampum Quahog Shells Ancient Source- RI Matched Pairs Lot of 14 2-3" RARE matched pairs!
These clams were sourced by me personally, locally, from The Great Salt Pond in Wakefield RI.  This is generally considered to be the original source for quahog shell Wampum dating back hundreds of years by local tribes. This remains the same today, with local native artisans producing a range of beautiful jewelry and personal items.
The confluence of the Atlantic Ocean with the Pond itself produces quahog clams with significant wampum shell purple coloring.
These clams are only accessible by boat and were dug by me recently. They are not "beach finds". We  dig, scrub, shuck and clean the shells by hand. No heat or exposure to the sun.
Ready to be transformed into beautiful jewelry, trinkets trays,  to create a nautical theme or whatever your imagination/project desires.
2 lots available "A: and "B". Both lots have 14pcs in each lots and all shells are matched with their original mates. Some in the photos are attached while others have separated but are still together.
Larger shells available in XL lots of 6 shells ( 3-3.5 inches) in separate eBay listing.
In order to protect the shells during shipping, the attached pairs will most likely separate. They will be packed together so the "pairs" will still be there.
