Wampum Quahog Shells Ancient Source- SouthEastern RI 8pcs
These clams were sourced by me personally, locally, from The Great Salt Pond in Wakefield RI.  This is generally considered to be the original source for quahog shell Wampum dating back hundreds of years by local tribes. This remains the same today, with local native artisans producing a range of beautiful jewelry and personal items.
The confluence of the Atlantic Ocean with the Pond itself produces quahog clams with significant wampum shell purple coloring.
These clams are only accessible by boat and were dug by me. They are not "beach finds". Each lot contains 8 pcs, ranging in size from 2 inches to 3 inches . Image shows a representative sample lot of what you will receive.
If provenance is important to you, these shells are for you! If not, but you want quality, these are for you!
Multiple orders qualify for combined shipping. Larger shells available (3-3.5 inches) on separate listing. Larger (3.5-4 inches are very rare and in very short supply and may not be available). Please message for more info as the larger sizes increase shipping weight beyond First Class limit.
