    Description

    For sale 1 Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie AG (WKC), Solingen K98k Short Dress Bayonet.
    Overall Length: 12 1/2". Blade length: 7 1/2". Left ricasso has 2 company logos, bust of a king & bust of a knight (logo typically seen on Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Cie AG (WKC), Solingen bayonets). Nickel plated metal finish. Bakelite grips panels have 2 pins. Metal scabbard w/ ball finish. Leather frog w/ cord lanyard loop.
    CONDITION: Possible post war replica mfg. as a GI souvenir.  Blade fading to gray w/ patina. Metal has flaking finish showing patina throughout. Grips intact w/ light handling wear. Scabbard has coarse finish fading to gray w/ patina & peppery oxidation. Scabbard has some loose stitching, cracking, flexing & moderate wear throughout. Retaining button seems fixed in place.
